Getting to Vrindavan

Train

The closest train station to Vrindavan is in Mathura, about 14 km away or a half-hour taxi/ autorikshaw ride.

Taxi

Taking a taxi is the recommended way to reach Vrindavana from Delhi if you have a few people in your group or if you just want to be comfortable. This is the fastest way (about 3½ hours). At the airport you can go to the “Paid Taxi Stands” or you can contact us to help you reserve your taxi from Vrindavan.

Buses

Buses to Vrindavana or Mathura from Delhi depart from the Interstate Bus Terminal near Kashmiri Gate in Old Delhi, or from the Ashram bus stop in the southeast part of Delhi. There are few direct buses from Delhi to Vrindavana. Most of them go to Mathura. If you take the Mathura bus, you can request the driver to drop you off at Chatikara Road and get a autorickshaw to Vrindavan.

Airport

The closest airport is New Delhi Indira Gandhi International Airport (DEL). From there, it is a 3 1/2 hour taxi ride to Vrindavan. Taxi pick-ups can be arranged for you if needed, please contact us.

Private Car

If you want to drive your car to Vrindavan have in account that there are special restrictions for cars registered (with plates) in other cities during weekend and special restrictions during some festivals.
During weekends traffic is very heavy inside the town and it makes it very difficult to find parking places near the most important temples and sites in Vrindavan.
Our advice is to drive to Vrindavan in the early morning and park in the border parking facilities, then you can take an e-riksha to reach the most important places of darshan, it will allow you to have a peaceful experience within Vrindavan and it will help to reduce traffic, noise as well as pollution within the holy dham.

* In our ashram we don’t have parking facilities we request to have this in account whenever you want to come and stay in our place, but nature, silence and peace are warranted.
